SET-UP FOR RAIN

The knowledge and experience acquired in the set-ups of our off road cars have helped us to develop a competitive set-up for rainy asphalt which increases the car grip despite the water in the track.
Besides the specifications made in the set-up sheet we give you the following pieces of advice to follow:
1) Use a differential without autoblock and completely loose. Our Hybrid with oil and 0,9mm conic washers is ideal. Our standard differential with little medium grease is also a good option.*
2) Prepare a clutch with a 2,8mm thickness spring, four clutch shoes and place inside two of them the headless screws included in the kit, two screws in each clutch shoe well centred in its placement. Adjust the tension so that the clutch opens almost from the idle speed.*
3) Charge with ballast the medium and rear area of the car with at least 400 grams.
4) Adjust the quite enough poor carburetion at low and high revolutions, the engines tend to get greasy when it rains and that’s why some of them stop.
5) Favour that the car balances increasing the height to the floor.
6) Try the car to be aggressive in its steering…if you can’t speed up, at least it should turn well.
7) Use the longest transmission ratio you have *
8) Use a basic spark plug, such as the NGK CMR7H or the Champion RZ7C *
9) Reduce the brake pressure and readjust its balance at the front.
10) Use a standar engine with low power.
11) It is highly recommended to use our Hi-grip rear uprights (number 151081) that give more mechanic grip and increase the heat in the tyres.

It is recommended to have in the toolbox the pieces with an asterisk specially configured for water and ready for a quick change. There is usually little preparation time for a race on a wet track.
